Leverkusen, 27.11.2019 – Leverkusen-based project developer Cube Real Estate is on course for sustainable growth. Founded in 2013, the company will open three branches in the north, center and south of Germany in the coming year. In 2019, Cube Real Estate took 17 new employees on board in Leverkusen and intends to continue growing in terms of personnel.

“Our core business remains small-scale housing,” emphasizes founder and Managing Director Tilman Gartmeier. Just a few days ago, the entrepreneur received the Young Leadership Award 2019 from the renowned Urban Land Institute (ULI). In future, the project developer wants to focus more strongly on neighborhood developments that include small-scale living. This is to be sensibly supplemented by shared apartments, retirement homes and daycare centers.

With its business model, Cube Real Estate is particularly successful in the Rhineland and Rhine-Main region and is currently realizing a project volume of EUR 1 billion. “The markets in the north, south and center of Germany, such as Hamburg and Frankfurt am Main, are very interesting for our expansion strategy. They offer great potential for our core business. It therefore makes sense for us to expand geographically,” emphasizes Tilman Gartmeier. Cube is currently developing 2,000 apartments and apartments in the Rhineland and Rhine-Main region alone.

Cube Real Estate is also increasingly offering the management and operation of its project developments through its own subsidiaries Cube Life and Cube Property Services. Both companies are currently experiencing pleasing growth. Tilman Gartmeier: “Our real estate projects have their very own signature with regard to topics such as sustainability or social cohesion. We want to continue this Cube principle in the operation of the property.” The Leverkusen-based project developer is thus focusing more strongly on the real estate life cycle and intends to establish further subsidiaries along this value chain in the medium term.

Already planned for 2020: A non-profit subsidiary dedicated to the topic of sustainability. “As a project developer, we are part of society. So it makes sense for us to make a charitable commitment to preserving an environment worth living in,” emphasizes Tilman Gartmeier.
