Project developer Cube Real Estate is announcing two important personnel appointments at the same time: Stephan Weinberger and Fabian Gerdon have been responsible for the Finance and Strategy & Investment Management divisions at Cube Real Estate GmbH since the beginning of July. Stephan Weinberger reports directly to Managing Director Bernd Hütter, Fabian Gerdon to the founder and Chairman of the Management Board, Tilman Gartmeier. Their positions were created specifically for this purpose.

As Head of Finance, Stephan Weinberger will assume overall responsibility for the Financing division. In this position, he will continue to develop the division in the future, optimize the content of all operational activities in the division and assume responsibility for personnel.

Weinberger joins from Flins Capital Partners, a real estate financing specialist with a focus on mezzanine structures and whole loan solutions for the real estate market. He has been a Senior Investment Associate there since 2021. Previously, he worked at the investment and asset management company Competo Capital Partners, where he was responsible for the operational and administrative tasks of corporate investments and mezzanine loans as an investment manager from 2020 – 2021. Prior to that, the 41-year-old worked as a product specialist at BayernLB in Munich in the area of national real estate financing, for which he also worked in the Düsseldorf branch in the meantime, as well as international real estate financing. Weinberger also began his career in real estate financing at BayernLB in 2011 after completing his dual degree in business administration with a specialization in banking.

In his role as Head of Strategy & Investment Management, Fabian Gerdon will drive forward the further development of business areas, processes and the digitalization of the company. His tasks will include finding and supporting investors and managing the company’s own investments.

Gerdon has been supporting Cube Real Estate in its growth as a management consultant since the end of 2020. After completing a bachelor’s degree in hotel management in Lausanne and a master’s degree in finance in Barcelona, he worked for the international real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield for four years, most recently as an investment manager.
