Cube Real Estate receives building permit for project in Frankfurt
Leverkusen / Frankfurt, 17.01.2023 –
The regional site company of Leverkusen-based real estate developer Cube Real Estate GmbH (Cube) has received planning permission for the mixed-use property “Nidda.vierzig2” at Niddagaustraße 42 in Frankfurt’s Rödelheim district. The project developer plans to convert the previously purely commercial property into 102 residential units and two commercial units for the approx. 5,000 m² of usable space. Completion is scheduled for 2024.
The concept developed together with B&V Architekten envisages an innovative mix of apartments with efficiently planned, in some cases compact residential apartments. The plans also include rooftop apartments with views of the Frankfurt skyline and the Taunus as well as two-storey house-in-house concepts with their own entrance as well as attractive front gardens and green spaces.
The existing building will be extended and its energy efficiency optimized as part of the conversion. In addition to increasing the resulting living space, this will avoid the sealing of new areas.

The site on which the project is being built is part of the former “Torpedo-Werke” – a production facility for bicycles and typewriters. In recent years, the formerly heavily commercial district has developed into a residential location. The property is well connected to Frankfurt city center in terms of infrastructure. There are numerous shopping facilities, restaurants and extensive green spaces in the immediate vicinity, as well as local recreation areas, swimming pools and sports facilities.
