Leverkusen, November 30, 2022. 30 employees of the Cube Group planted 500 trees in a
forest in Engelskirchen on
Tuesday morning in collaboration with the Life Terra Foundation. A further 2,000 trees will follow in the coming
weeks. The saplings planted today should stand at the
site for at least 50 years. Tags can be used to officially
document the number of trees planted and track the development of the resulting climate forests.

The project developer Cube Real Estate, together with the non-profit
subsidiary Cube Wood gGmbH, is thus making a clear statement in favor of climate protection and wants
to be a role model in the industry. The Dutch Life Terra Foundation, which supports Cube Wood
gGmbH, has set itself the goal of planting 500 million trees in Europe.

Planting trees plays an important role in the fight against climate change and
the associated natural disasters such as heatwaves, droughts and floods.
Forests are the most important carbon sinks; their growth removes around two billion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere
every year. To ensure that forests are as little susceptible as possible to
drought and pests, mixed forests
are deliberately planted during reforestation, which also promotes biodiversity.

year, because only together can we reforest the hundreds of hectares of lost forest

In Engelskirchen alone, there is estimated to be room for 40,000 more trees.

In 2023, Julian Boigenreif plans to purchase his first own woodland
in Langenfeld in the district of Mettmann, alongside other plant events. As a first mover, NAI apollo, a
Germany-wide real estate consultancy headquartered in Frankfurt am
Main, has been supporting Cube Wood gGmbH since October 2022 with a generous donation in the
six-figure range. The two companies are planning a long-term
collaboration in this area.
