Cube Real Estate lets Cube Factory 577 in Leverkusen to Etteplan on a long-term lease
Leverkusen, 15.02.2022 – Cube Real Estate has achieved another letting success in the Cube Factory 577 district development in Leverkusen. Two new office buildings with around 6,000 m² of space in the first building and 5,000 m² in the second are being built as part of the project. The internationally active, Leverkusen-based software and technology provider Etteplan will move into around 1,450 m² of office space in the first new office building in Cube Factory 577 once construction work is completed in the third quarter of 2023. This means that more than 50 percent of the space in this building has already been let in the shell construction phase. The rental agreement was brokered as part of a letting mandate by the consultancy Corealis Commercial Real Estate.
Cube Factory 577 is located in Werkstättenstrasse in the Neue Bahnstadt Opladen (nbso) urban development area and combines student housing, owner-occupied apartments, offices and restaurants in around 22,000 m² of rental space. Of this, approx. 10,000 m² is residential and approx. 12,000 m² is office space.
The revitalization project is being built on the site of a former railroad repair hall. Some of the historic buildings will remain – also to preserve the industrial charm. The concept is intended to contribute to the “loft-like” character of the workspaces. Sustainability certification in accordance with the LEED Core & Shell 4.0 standard is planned for the project. Cube Factory 577 is very well connected to public transport thanks to the Opladen train station, which is within walking distance. The quarter is located adjacent to the Leverkusen campus of TH Köln.
